Li's incredible story will inspire you and unlock freedom in your life. You don't want to miss this one. Her book has been a page turner and it's not over yet!
Li grew up in a Chinese concentration camp during the Cultural Revolution and Mao's "Great Leap Forward". The video below provides some harrowing details of her survival. By the grace of God, she came to follow Jesus, emigrated to the US and married Ken Schoolland, a professor of economics in Hawaii. She has taught Chinese at both Punahou and Hawaii Baptist Academy but discovered that God wanted to use her skills and experience to help repressed groups around the world. Her current work with the Acton Group keeps her on the go!
And last but not least, in the last dozen years, she experienced an absolutely stunning degree of physical healing and emotional freedom when God led her to forgive Mao Zedong himself. Even in her 50s, because of this powerful spiritual shift, she actually grew physically taller! Crazy, huh? But you have to hear her tell the story herself. Because of what God has done, Li is living an unapologetically joyful AND powerful life!
We meet from 9-11am for a potluck breakfast, time of worship, sharing and prayer in the community room of St. Mark's Coptic Church, 1052 Ilima Dr, Honolulu, HI 96817 (on lower Alewa Heights).
