He has given me a NEW song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Ps. 40:3
Every morning, the sun rises, touching the ocean and sky as if for the first time. We wake up out of the dark of sleep, given a new chance to see the world, love the people around us and discover God himself.
This coming Saturday, Feb 9, 8:30am-12:30pm Bluewater Women gathers for the 2nd Annual Daughters Who Dream Workshop. We will each come to an empty, white rectangle of posterboard. We clear our minds, surrender our spirits, and approach our lives anew. We are willing to lean in and listen for direction, for inspiration, for the voice of a Creator Father we are still coming to know. Quietly listening and praying, we will use colorful magazine images to approximate what we hear, cutting and pasting without judgement. At the end, we will consider together how our dreams have taken shape. Each of us will leave with a new vision, or perhaps an old calling articulated in a fresh, meaningful way. It will be inspiring and encouraging, especially for those who feel ill-equipped to "hear from God".
Join us! If you have not yet, please RSVP to bluewaterwomen@bluewatermission.org, so we can be sure to have materials for you. Please bring a scissors and glue stick if you can. This is a potluck breakfast gathering, so we also ask each person to bring a simple food item to share.
This and subsequent second Saturday meetings will be held at St. Mark's Coptic Church on Alewa Heights, 1052 Ilima Drive, Honolulu 96817. Look for the Kamaaina Kids sign and a steep driveway and turn in there. You'll see ample parking and a stairway leading alongside the sanctuary. Take the stairs to the double glass doors and enter there.
See you there! Sonya, Sandy and Joannie
