SONG FOR THE WARRIOR BRIDE

A Psalm by Claudette Springer
(presented at the January Bluewater Women Gathering)

Wake up.
Wake up.
Do you hear that?
The sound of thunder on the wind, calling to us….”wake up.”
I feel a shedding of the skin
I see a light turn bright within
My faith breaks the silence…
I am not my wounds
I am not my scars
I am picking up speed
I am reaching for stars.
All those dark shadows and worn out souls
and empty lies the enemy told
his time is done and gone for good.
Jesus lights the victory as only He could.
So, Rise up.
Rise with me.
Daughters of the most high King.
And when chaos dares to ask “who do you think you are?”
We will say, “We are His Warrior Bride!
We fight for justice, for the innocent and voiceless,
for the forgotten, for the captives,
for the hungry and lost, for the haves and have nots.”
